Director of Operations
Deanna joined our team in May 2016 as our Director of Operations and Compliance Officer. She manages the operation and sales team as well as acts as a compliance officer. Deanna worked as an insurance agent and brings over 10 years of experience in financial services management. She is California life insurance licensed and a Certified Notary Public. Outside of work she enjoys her grandchildren, travelling and reading.
Jessica Slazas Operations Coordinator
Jessica joined our team in August 2015 and is our Operations Coordinator. She has an extensive background in the client services industry and is California life insurance licensed. She oversees company operations, assists with account administration and portfolio reporting. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking yummy vegan recipes and travelling. She has a passion for animals and is committed to furthering animal causes.
John Guess Paraplanner
John worked as an agent before joining our team in April 2017. He grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from St. Mary’s College with a BS in Economics. He will be transitioning from Paraplanner to Advisor and will enjoy working with business owners and families to create plans for their successful retirement. John is an outdoor enthusiast and divides his time volunteering with St. John’s Lutheran in Sacramento, Bayside Roseville and works with Habitat for Humanity.
Heather Whitely Client Service Assistant
Heather assists with client service and account administration. She has four years of financial industry experience and will complete her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration focusing on Finance and International Business in the fall of 2017. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, crafting and volunteering with various groups.

Keith graduated from Clark University in Worcester Massachusetts with additional studies at Kings College, University of London, England. His career began in 1985 with Merrill Lynch in his hometown of Boston where he completed his financial consultant training in 1987. In 1990, he moved to California to study advanced portfolio management and investment management studies. By 1996, he felt his clients’ interests would be best served by becoming independent, so he formed Springer Financial Advisors where he continues to serve as president today.
Keith is a member of the Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA), delivering free seminars and workshops for companies, civic organizations, and church groups. He is a Registered Financial Planner with the Registered Financial Planners Institute and a master certified member of the prestigious HS Dent Advisors Network. He is also a member of the director’s circle for the Crocker Art Museum, the conductor’s circle for the Sacramento Philharmonic, a member of Rotary International and a Paul Harris Fellow for over 20 years and founder of the Springer Turkey Challenge, helping to feed those most in need in the community since 1998.
